    “Animate” Adult Ed Series Preview

In December of last year, Spark House flew a group of Christian leaders to Minneapolis to begin work on a new adult ed video curriculum called “Animate.”  They suggested a topic for each of us, and we were tasked with developing an eight minute script to be filmed.

My topic was “Salvation.”  I had the privilege of participating with an amazing group of very smart and fascinating people.   Nadia Bolz-Webber talked about “The Cross,” Lillian Daniel did “Religion and Spirituality,” Brian McLaren was assigned “God” (8 minutes should be more than enough here, you know just the small topic of God ;) ), Bruce Reyes-Chow on “The Church,” Mark Scandrette did “Jesus,” and Lauren Winner’s topic was “The Bible.”

Seven voices, seven topics.  Our conviction is that we are to serve as the first voice in the conversation, but not the final voice.  We want to get people talking, not just feed them answers.

This is a preview of what we did.  I’m really excited about this project.  I’ll be sure to let you know when its available.
